Training...
A limited number of horses will be accepted into the WHF training program. Each horse is brought along at a rate that is determined by the horse's physical fitness, progress, and natural athletic ability. There is no cookie cutter schedule that works for every single horse, as each one is an individual, therefore training programs are tailored to suit the horse.
The trainer at WHF is classically trained, having learned from numerous well respected international instructors, such as Klaus Fraessdorf, several Bereiters of the Spanish Riding School, and European FEI Judge and Trainer of Olympic competitors, Carel Eijkenaar. She continues to enhance her education and ensure the correctness of her training programs by taking regular lessons with Carel and hosting and participating in clinics with Bereiters annually.
Two training programs are offered. Half time training entails 3 training sessions per week at $450/month. Full time training entails 5-6 training sessions per week at $600/month. A training session for a horse under saddle typically involves approximately 45 minutes under saddle and an additional 15-20 minutes of ground work.
Board is not included in the cost of the training programs.
